Develop your forestry management skills by identifying trees

Members will demonstrate skills necessary in basic forestry management procedures, matching true statements with tree names.

  • Age Range: Junior Division: Grades 6-8 || Senior Division: Grades 9-12
  • Competition Venue: State Fair

  • NY Contest Description: A team may consist of three students with the highest two scores to be the team score. Each individual will work independently and complete both the written test and the actual identification of tree samples. Participants should wear a FFA jacket or a state or chapter FFA shirt.

    Junior teams are only responsible for the identification of tree samples.
