  • NY Contest Description: This contest is a New York Only event which means winners of this event do not advance on to a national level. The contest will follow the Agricultural Electric Power and Processing section of the Agricultural Mechanics contest which includes: electric wiring, electric motors, and electric control and sensing devices. The contest will consist of three parts: an individual quiz on Agricultural Electrification principles and problems; Identification and testing of electrical devices; and wiring a circuit from a circuit diagram. The contest is open to one two-person team per school with an FFA program. Teams are responsible for providing their own safety equipment, tools, and meters and are expected to wear shop coats or FFA t-shirts at the event.
