District 8 President

Leann Green

Leann_GreenWhat got you started in FFA?

Honestly I'm not really sure. I joined the summer of my 8th grade year because my new friends had already joined. I think what really got me started in FFA was attending Camp Oswegatchie that summer. I LOVED IT!

Favorite FFA Experience:

For my SAE I raised a beef steer to show and market at the Steuben County Fair. This is my favorite FFA experience because not only did it take almost a year to raise my steer, but when I showed I received the Reserve Grand Champion! This experience helped me to realize that I could accomplish a goal that I set for myself and that I had the ability to succeed.

Favorite Thing about FFA:

Learning new things about the agricultural world is by far my favorite part of FFA. I didn't grow up on a farm and really wasn't involved in agriculture until I joined FFA. I truly enjoy soaking up new agriculture knowledge and also seeking to find new information.

Pump Up Song (must be appropriate for FFA members to play):

What are you looking forward to the most as a State Officer?

Serving FFA on the state level. I don't just have the title "District 8 President" I have the opportunity to represent FFA members from District 8 and the entire state. I hope that through this opportunity I will serve to the best of my ability!
