In Depth Description of SAE Area:
Food Science and Technology allows FFA members to work for wages and/or hands on experiences in microbiology, food biochemistry, food product research, development to improve taste, nutrition, and to improve the overall quality of food. FFA members have completed programs that have included research, new product development, food testing, grading and inspecting. This SAE does not involve processing, market and sales of food products, food preparation and/or service.
